Tennis Elbow

Lateral epicondylitis is a non-inflammatory tendonopathy that involves tendons of the extensor muscle group. It is mostly caused by overuse of the extensor tendons of the forearm, which leads to degeneration and fibrosis (scar tissue development) of the tendons. Even though our treatment for tennis elbow is based precisely on the results of the history taking and the thorough assessment of the function and stability of the upper body, we use a proven protocol to address the condition. We utilize a multidisciplinary approach that combines manual muscle release, acupuncture treatment to re-establish adequate blood flow to upper extremities, high frequency treatment to promote endorphin (natural painkillers) release, utilization of motor points to restore muscle inhibition and joint stability as well as taping the muscle to prevent further overuse.
